At the last tekom annual conference, the partner lecture by TermSolutions and Vector Informatik GmbH filled the room. How the collaboration came about and why Vector relies on termXact for company-wide terminology management is now described in a case study.
Vector Informatik GmbH has been pursuing a mission for over 30 years: to make the development of automotive electronics easier. To this end, Vector engineers are represented in 15 committees that set industry standards – including for autonomous driving and electric cars. Mobility is developing rapidly and is becoming more and more complex. Vector solutions ensure that it remains manageable.
The company started terminology work in 2012 so that 3,000 Vectorians can work together on these solutions at locations around the world and translate them into reliable products for 7,500 customers in 72 countries. At the end of 2017, Vector discovered termXactwhile looking for a terminology check – and started working with TermSolutions. Since then, a lot has been achieved together and even more planned. What can now be read in a new case study.
